The problem of spirituality is complex because everything is done for happiness and we find happiness in everything other than God, We don't get any happiness in remembering God so we don't remember him.

How to solve this riddle? Answer is - 'Through proper decision making'. We do many things in a day which we do not like.
Students study hard in exam days even if there is their most liked sports match or any other such event is scheduled. The decision that study is more important makes them study against mind which enjoys the liked event more.
Similarly if we realize that remembering God is extremely important because it will relieve you from sufferings of all kind and bring in eternal bliss, mind will remember God. To remember God is the job. Remembrance can be associated with any feeling - Anger, Jealousy, Greed, Temptation, Love, Hatred...
All those remembrance will cleanse your heart of impurity. But the quality of infinite happiness that would flow in will vary according the feeling channel.
Hindu says ,"To love God is the best way to remember God and to seek eternal bliss." Islam and non-dualism - a branch in Hindu - advises to concentrate on formless God.
You would notice to concentrate on something without form has the following drawbacks -
1. Mind has habit of thinking of form because whatever we see in this world has some form hence to think of someone without form is difficult.
2. No feeling of any kind listed earlier can be associated with formless God while mind deals everything through such feeling.
3. While remembering God through form many visualization of God are possible through various moods. Formless God does not offer this facility.

At this point one must understand that formless and with-form God are not different Gods... God is ONLY ONE. Being all-powerful, he can appear in whichever form you like. If you see water, it has three forms Ice, water, vapor with different qualities. Similarly God is one and the quality of infinite happiness associated with God varies according to the form selected.
