Guided by the misconception that that there is permanent happiness in this world, an individual creates desires to seek worldly happiness. If this desire to seek happiness in fulfilled, it gives rise to greed and if there is someone who creates hurdles in fulfillment this desire, anger eminates.

That is the reason for anger and greed is the desire for worldly pleasures.
