Animal hunting and killing them is restricted by Hindu scriptures.

Spiritual aspirant should never hurt any living being physically or mentally, killing them is out of question.

All living beings have God inside. This knowledge must always be remembered.

The story of Ashok is known to all. Emperor Ashok, after battle of Kaling, felt extremely dejected on seeing blood, flesh, dead bodies, cut limbs and other body parts.

Only when he took support from Buddh and accepted non-violence as state policy, he got peace of mind.

There was a saint Eknath. Once he was bringing holy water from river Ganga to his city Paithan. Those days, such exercises were carried out by walking. The group reached very near to the destination.

Eknath saw a donkey was in miserable condition because of thirst. Eknath gave the holy water to the donkey. Others said,'We are so near to getting the ritual completed. We will be lucky because it will help a lot in our journey after death. It is such a pious deed. You are spoiling all your efforts.'

But Eknath said, 'There is God in every living being. Hence I cannot see anyone suffering from thirst when I can offer water. I am not worried about what happens to me.'

Eventually, it was Eknath who was successful in attaining divine love bliss of Radha-Krishn through grace of his Guru.
