Another important quality is patience.

Whatever adverse the situation might be,one must patiently work out he solution. If results are not showing up, the answer is be patient.

Along with patience, perseverance is also necessary.

Spiritual practice deals with impurity of infinite past. Hence the process is long. Immediate results are not expected. The seeker must keep working diligently on his mind through devotion.

Heart gets more and more pure as spiritual practice is continued. Unless mind reaches a certain level of purity, spiritual experience, meaning such experience that gives the aspirant insight of the spiritual world, is not possible.

On getting such experience, there is no need to goad mind to God. Mind will show interest in spiritual practice of its own. From this point on-wards, less efforts will be needed to divert mind to God.

Right now the problem is mind has to believe in God. Spiritual experience will convert this belief into knowledge that God is accessible and seeker will do the spiritual practice more vigorously.
