Mehamud a ruler of Gazani, when about to die, wanted to see all the diamonds and jewels at the moment of death. He was full of sorrow that he would no longer have those stones after death. So he died with additional pang.
The point is more you have attachment, more you will face the agony. And there is no end to attachments but there is end to this life.

About enjoying life, the question till what point? Till death? The lust never allows to think about any possibility of existence after death. Lust and desire for money, for power for sex etc do not allow anything beyond the joy of flesh. It can be seen the old persons may it be politicians, artists, millionaires, stars and starlets go after enjoyment of life through power, through wine, through sex, through luxurious life. Lustful people are surrounded by younger women till they get the final blow of death. But death steals everything. Why not give it up early and look into the possibility of divine happiness?

No one gets anything, even in this world, without any efforts. No one can pass the examination without some efforts. First efforts and then there is result.

There are no efforts in the divine direction and hence there is no divine experience. Because there is no divine experience, there is no faith, because there is no faith, we fall back on the material world!

To break this vicious cycle, some efforts to understand theory of divine love are essential. Good understanding of the divine subject will change the decision of the intellect and it will force mind to try in divine direction. Thus the starting point is theoretical knowledge and then practical work out. Both must go hand in hand to lay hands on something from divine area.
