Soul, which is a power of God, is of divine nature. Being divine, it
seeks divine happiness, divine knowledge wants eternal life, and
ultimate freedom. To ensure that soul get what it wants, exploration
must be done in divine area.
The other relations of soul with God are as
follows.
1 Soul and God share the same residence. Both of them
stay at the same place in the heart.
2 Both of them are near to
each other. There cannot be anything nearer to soul than God.

Both of them are indestructible and are in existence since time
infinite. But soul is feeble while God is all powerful. Hence God
takes all care of soul. He performs the following functions :
To
keep account of the deeds of soul.
To create the wold so that
soul can strive to seek its goal of attaining happiness.
Give
physical body to soul.
Place the soul according to its condition
which is determined according to its deeds.
Provide for food and
sheltering material to soul.
Advise soul about what is to be
done through scriptures and saint.
Give rewards and punishment
so that soul gets motivated to do right.
Send saints to explain
the meaning of scriptures and to operate on the minds which seek
divine happiness by removing the impediments from the mind.
Descend
down to the earth when the situation is extremely worse and create
conducive atmosphere to seek divine happiness.
