The next question is
what is soul? To know the answer we need to delve into the powers of
God. God, as we know is the power house of infinite powers. There are
three main powers
1. Superior or internal
power called as Paraa Shakti.2. Inferior or external
power called as Maya Shakti3. Neutral power called
as Jeev Shakti.
Inner power is
all-knowing, all-powerful, filled with vitality and full of eternal
and infinite bliss. There are minute elements of this power which are
known as self-elements. Being elements of inter power they too are
all-knowing, all-powerful, filled with vitality and full of eternal
and infinite bliss. These are various Gods and Goddesses like Brahma,
Shankar, Vishnu, Laxmi, Parwati, Durga, Kali and so on. Krishn is God
himself while other Gods are his elements.Soul that we are
discussing is a minute element of neutral power and hence it is
termed as differential-element. They are characterized by vitality
but not by other attributes like eternal bliss, infinite knowledge.
It is neither inclined to the superior power nor to the inferior
power. In such scenario, soul can be overpowered by the superior
power or the inferior power.
Hence there three
categories of souls. First are those who are full of eternal bliss
from time infinite because they are overpowered and controlled by
superior power. Second class of souls are all those who are under the
spell of inferior power and hence are suffering through infinite
cycles of death and birth because these souls are overpowered by and
controlled by the inferior power. Out of these, many souls got rid of
the inferior power (Maya) through proper procedure of purification of
heart.
