When it comes to
happiness there are mainly two ways. One is of those people who
consider themselves body while others who consider themselves soul.
The first ones are
materialistic while the others are spiritual. Materialistic claim
that everything is sensual happiness. There is nothing beyond
perception. However, there are many things which are beyond
perception of human being and they do exist. For example, dogs smell
which humans cannot, some insects can perceive ultra violate rays
while human beings cannot, bats can hear supersonic sound waves while
human beings cannot. Which means there are many things which human
senses cannot perceive and hence to think that there is nothing
beyond realm of intellect would be a folly. Extending the same logic
to divine happiness, which has been sought by many and though beyond
human imagination, must be a reality.
Really speaking as of
now, we are in need of both. Soul is a reality and its happiness must
be acquired. But, as long as soul is trapped in the Maya or the
material world, physical body assumes importance as well. Without
physical body soul cannot exist. Soul is tightly coupled with the
body and hence any trouble with body is directly reflected on soul.
Thus a balance should be maintained between the needs of the body and
needs of the soul.
