Gopis were silent till this point knowing that Krishna was doing everything on purpose and there was no point in exacerbating the situation. It is a common experience that if wife and husband both start shouting at each other then situation becomes worse. It advisable that if one of the two goes out of sense other should keep calm so that situation remains under control.

When Krishn stopped speaking, Gopis ultimately gave a befitting reply.

They said, "First point is we can go back without any problem since that is your wish and we want to see you happy. You should know that senses work according to dictate of their master, mind. You have stolen our mind with your beautiful looks, sweet words and pleasant tune of flute. Our mind is are in your custody. Please return us our mind so that we can give order to our legs to move towards our home."

They continued, "Second point is that your discourse is for those who are interested in heaven and we are not interested in heaven or any supernatural power whatsoever. We are not worried about going to hell. Our only aim is to see you happy.”

They further said,’ Third and most important of all is you are the only master of all souls, conjugal partner for all. Soul derives all its energy from you. Soul then imparts the energy to the mind and body. You are husband of our husbands too, not withstanding their current male form, because every soul is depends on you just as wife depends on husband. You are the only man in the universe while all the souls have lady form in true sense. Whatever relations you talked of were related to body. You are the sole relative of every soul. You occupy each and every place no one is alien to you. Hence you are not a third person to anyone. In fact, those who do not think of you as their beloved are committing crime! And still you take care of everyone by sitting in everybody's heart!"
