Then Krishn said, "See
you should not have illicit relations with a man other than your
husband. In such cases you may have to go to hell! You should love
only your husband. A lady, who worships her husband and remains loyal
to him, gets place in heaven and all others worship her! So go back
and serve your husband! Take care of your children and other family
members! Now be quick and go back!"
Gopis
were patiently listening to the lecture delivered by Krishn. Seeing
that Gopis were still glued to the spot and not moving back, Krishn
narrated a story , which brought out the power that a woman gets from
having total fidelity to her husband.
He
said, ‘There was a lady which was totally devoted to her
husband. She never had any negative thoughts about her husband and
was never attracted even by mind to any third person with romantic
mood. She never disobeyed her husband, always worked as per his wish
and tried to please him through out her life.
She
was doing the work of a chaff from rice grain. It involved threshing
the raw grain with flail which was nothing but a big cylindrical
wooden rod. The Action involved throwing rod into air and then
letting it fall on the food grains.
While
she was busy in her work, her husband asked a glass of water. At that
moment the flail was in the air. In order to serve her husband
without any delay she got up immediately and fetched a glass of water
to him. Meanwhile, because of her power on the virtue of being loyal
to her husband, the rod remained in the air! ‘
So,
Krishna tells Gopis, "Such ladies are even worshiped by everyone
and with promise of heaven, you should imitate such examples."
