O! Betrayer! We know each and every of your tricks. You played flute and invited us here and now you have left us in lurch in this forest in this time of dark night! How are you merciful? When you used meet us in privacy you would talk lovely words which would arose the desire of conjugal union with you. And after calling us here, you went away! We are dyeing! Your red lip nectar removes all miseries of separation! Please come to us and give that nectar to us again! Please give us the medicine of your sight that will get rid of all pangs of separation! Please suggest some remedy to come out of the distress!

When you would reunite with us after a long day spent in grazing, to relieve us from unbearable pain we would put your lotus feet on our coarse breasts so subtly, out of fear that they should not prick your delicate feet.

This is the height of love. See the situation. It is the matter of infinite happiness and of such pain whose little fraction would kill any mortal. And at this magnitude Gopis are keeping the happiness aside and are thinking that ‘Our darling should not have any trouble!’

If you compare it with the worldly love, where invariably love is for self happiness, there no thought of the condition of beloved in love making! More the love, the more tight is the embrace! And through it only self happiness is sought! If mother finds her lost child after four days, she hugs it so tightly that the soft and delicate child suffocates! But mother is busy in seeking her happiness through hug! No one can even imagine the kind of self less love Gopis had! This is the reason why The love of Gopis is at the top most position in the spiritual world and owing to this love, Gopis are the top most saints in the spiritual realm! All other saints have mixture of self happiness in their love while Gopi Love is so pure and so unadulterated that even a slightest smack of self happiness is absent in Gopi Love.

Hence if you want to set a spiritual Goal, let it be the highest – acquiring self less Gopi Love.
