Love leads to doing anything and everything to please God.
There are two types of love. One is pseudo love and the other is true love.
Pseudo love is the love which exists only if self happiness exists. It is love for self happiness and hence it keeps on changing, sometimes up, sometimes down, sometimes zero. We all love our relations this way only. Because all our actions, by very nature the soul, are directed to seek self happiness or self-satisfaction.
However, this pseudo love when directed to God may or may not yield non-demanding divine love or true love.
Divine love, whether demanding or non-demanding, is beyond the limits of flesh and infinite in magnitude which frees soul from death and other sufferings. Since soul loves God with the aim of attaining infinite happiness or attaining non-demanding love, it practices pseudo love which is based on self happiness.
Although base for pseudo love is self happiness, they way it is practiced makes the difference. When such love directed to God, soul tries his best to keep love intact in all situations. Soul could be in extreme distress and knowing that God although present everywhere is not doing any favor, soul tries to keep love intact. It is very difficult because our love changes depending on the happiness received. Constant practice brings the perfection. On perfection soul does not expect anything from God. On the contrary he tries to offer God whatever he has. Practice to give is extremely important.
Practice to give without expecting anything in return from God takes you to non-demanding divine love, which is sought even by liberated souls who have attained formless God.
