A gentleman was
traveling through a country side. On trees, he saw many parrots. He
knew that a bird catcher – Fowler – was to visit that
area. He felt pity about the parrots that they would be in captivity
of the Fowler soon after. He decided to make parrots learn the
following lines in the anticipation that the parrots would be saved.
The lines were -
“Fowler will
arrive,
A net trap will be laid
Don’t land on the
trap
Else will be caught”
All the parrots learned
the lines and they were singing those lines as Fowler approached,
“Fowler will
arrive,
A net trap will be laid
Don’t land on the
trap
Else will be caught”
Fowler laid the trap.
He spread the net and put some grains on it. The parrots were
singing,
“Fowler will
arrive,
A net trap will be laid
Don’t land on the
trap
Else will be caught”
And while singing they
landed on the trap to eat the grains.
While on the trap they
were singing,
“Fowler will
arrive,
A net trap will be laid
Don’t land on the
trap
Else will be caught”
Fowler caught all of
them, still they were singing,
“Fowler will
arrive,
A net trap will be laid
Don’t land on the
trap
Else will be caught”
Fowler bundled all of
them; put the bag on the shoulder and started walking. Parrots were
singing in the bundle,
“Fowler will
arrive,
A net trap will be laid
Don’t land on the
trap
Else will be caught”
The story highlights
that knowledge of words is useless, knowledge of meaning is
important.
Many people put faith
in God but they are not aware meaning of the word God because God is
infinite happiness which the matter of experience and not that of the
mere saying ‘In the name of God...’
