It can viewed from another angle. Every soul is in search of unending happiness knowingly or unknowingly. It is demonstrated by the fact that every action of any individual is to seek happiness. The search will end only if unending happiness is sought. Why soul is not getting that happiness? The only answer is MIND. Mind works against it because it is always after the short lived, sensual happiness. You are away from eternal bliss because of your mind’s belief that there is happiness in this world. So, who is harming your interests? Mind. It is mind that keeps you away from the divine experience and the result is some moments of happiness, many moments of dissatisfaction, boredom, depression, tension, grief and finally the most unwanted moment of the death.

Who is responsible for the sordid state of soul? Mind. Hence it is said that the biggest enemy of any individual is his own mind. Mind does not allow you to accept correct philosophies even though it knows what is correct and logical. It forces you accept wrong and illogical philosophies and writes to your destiny – suffering, sufferings and more sufferings.

Mind cultivates ego. Mind builds superiority complex. To keep this ego intact, mind unleashes misdeeds, injustice, deceptions, murders, wars and what not. God fixes every responsibility to the decision makers and the followers of the decision makers. On committing heinous crimes, the same soul suffers from consequences of those crimes in the form of excruciating pains and grief. This grief is handed over to the soul via some situation. Therefore, not the situation but the mind is held responsible for all problems of the individual.

The final conclusion is ‘Your biggest enemy is your mind.’

And we think that mind is our friend and get carried away by its demands. This friend ‘mind’ kills the owner soul in a treacherous way and lands soul into the situations which soul does not want to be in.
