Since intellect is the sole important in decding our future, we need to regulate it so as to get correct decisions.

It is well known that output is based on input. Senses give inputs to mind and intellect. Hence first step is to control inputs. At least provide intellect the inputs related to God and soul. If our daily reading, talking are examined, there is hardly any reference to God. Even if reference is made, it is not related to seeking God but seeking material gains through worship of God. So, it is necessary to read, to listen to the divine material regularly at least for an hour every day so that mind and intellect are exposed to the divine thoughts. The caution, the divine material must contain the philosophies supported by Ved, Gita, Upnishad, Ramayan, Puran.

Secondly, there must be deliberations on the nature of worldly relations and worldly happiness. Sunlight, rain shower are available to all. Is there any object which makes everyone happy? Money – No, many people give up money for better cause. Is there happiness in a beautiful woman? If yes, why some of them get murdered? Wine? Why the wine shops are put on fire by agitating house wives?

Again, where is happiness? In money? In how much money? Then why people who have money are after more money? In beauty? In how much beauty? Then why beautiful want to be more beautiful by applying a lot of make up on the face? In Knowledge? In how much knowledge? Then why people of knowledge seek more knowledge? In fame? In how much fame? Then why famous people seek more fame?

The fact is there is no happiness anywhere. Once the aim is achieved, another bigger aim make you fool in believing that seeking the bigger aim will make you happy. Understand that there is no end to this hunting. Every stage points to a next stage. Death stops this run. Why not realize it early and stop the run of our own? Why not strive in spiritual direction for happiness? Think over it again and again and intellect would take a U turn from material pursuit to spiritual pursuit.
