It is not possible to
learn even alphabet A if you don’t submit to a school teacher.
Teacher says ‘This figure ‘A’ is A. A for
apple..and so on’ If the school boy ask ‘Sir, why ‘A’
is called A?’ Teacher would tell,’There is no reason.
Just the one who devised language used it.’ ‘No. No.
First tell me the reason, otherwise I won’t accept letter A as
A’.
Teacher cannot teach
such student. The point is submission is not new to us. Up till now
we submitted to all except God. Submit just once to God, and see the
difference.
To accept dirty clothes
and return them with properly washed and ironed without expecting
anything in return is grace. Milkman is giving milk without charge is a grace
but the expectation is receiver would bring his pot.
God is ready to
give the eternal bliss. It a grace. But the pot that can hold eternal bliss –
pure heart – is missing. God even helps in making of the pot. He reveals divine knowledge in the form of Ved, Up nishad, Puran.
He incarnates time and again to uplift souls. He sends his persons - saints - to guide ignorant people. Saint too shower his grace out of his nature of sponteneous compassion.
See what God does. He
accepts our dirty mind and intellect. He not only returns them in
completely clean and pure condition, but also fills them with divine
capabilities. He turns purified material mind into divine one and
puts eternal and infinite happiness into it. All this work without
expecting anything in return. He knows that souls can not offer nothing
in lieu of making soul’s heart divine, just as a newborn child
is not in a position to offer anything to mother in lieu of milk that
she feeds.
Therefore God is
naturally compassionate. The more one realizes what God does for
soul, more the heart will be filled up with gratitude. Let alone the
making the heart divine, even the creation of this world too is done
without getting anything in return from the soul. Soul uses
everything which is provided by God free of costs.
Thus the submission is
not the price but it is the natural compassion of God.
