Today is sixth day after the birth of Krishn. This day is called Chhat. On this day when Krishn was on the earth, Putanaa went to Gokul where Krishn was transferred by his father.

Kans, the ruler of Mathura, after knowing that his destroyer is in Gokul, sent his sister Putanaa to kill him. She was 12 miles in the height.

When Putanaa went to Gokul, she assumed a form beautiful lady and applied a dreaded poison on the tip of her breast. The plan was to breast feed Krishn who was ust six days old to get rid of him.

She went to mother Yashoda's house. Yashodaa and other maids present there were so stunned to see the beauty of incoming Putanaa that no one resisted her from taking Krishn in the lap. After Krishn was in the lap Putanaa put nipple of her breast into the mouth of little Krishn in the anticipation that she would see dead Krishn in seconds.

But the boy wasn't the ordinary one. He was the almighty God. Krishn stared sucking milk from Putanaa's breast. He did not stop there. He further went on to suck the life out of her body.

With unbearable pain Putanaa shouted 'Leave me! Leave me!' But Krishn did not. She could not stick to her assumed form of beautiful lady and returned to her original form of demon.

She was ultimately killed and her body fell in the area of 12 miles long. Such a huge was her body that she was cut into pieces before being cremated.

To this Putanaa, Krishn gave eternal bliss on pretext that she became his mother because she breast fed him.
